The Campus Climate Program refers App State faculty, staff and students who report bias-related or hate incidents to one or more of the following campus offices and programs. Depending upon the nature of the report, these campus partners will respond to the incidents in accordance with university core values, policies and principles of expression, and in accordance with local, state and federal laws.

As part of the Office of the Dean of Students, Case Management provides 360-degree individualized support and resources to students who are navigating a range of issues and situations impacting their academic performance. - Human Resources
The Office of Human Resources (HR) proactively identifies and responds to the campus community’s ever-changing needs. The senior vice provost of faculty policies and development provides guidance to faculty, department chairs and deans on matters related to faculty relations, training and professional development, including the faculty handbook and faculty policies, as well as faculty concerns, appointments, promotion and tenure. The Office of Access and Equity provides a range of services and resources to support the university’s efforts to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment. The office promotes equity in educational opportunity, programming and employment and promotes an environment of respect and inclusion for all members of the university community. The University Ombuds Office serves as an independent, confidential resource with which faculty, staff and students can discuss campus-related concerns or problems. - Counseling and Psychological Services for Students
Through the Counseling Center, Counseling and Psychological Services provides students with a range of counseling services, outreach education, consultation and training to cultivate their holistic development and wellbeing within App State’s supportive campus community. - Counseling for Faculty and Staff
Counseling for Faculty and Staff provides counseling, consultation, training and referrals for concerns that impact employees’ personal and professional lives. Services are provided for faculty, staff and their immediate families. - Wellness and Prevention
Wellness and Prevention Services serves all students through the promotion of healthy behaviors, risk behavior modification services and advocacy for campuswide health policies that facilitate students’ success and holistic well-being. - Intercultural Student Affairs
The Office of Intercultural Student Affairs strives to provide a welcoming and inclusive experience for students to thrive socially, academically and culturally. The office operates three identity centers: Multicultural Center, Women’s Center and Henderson Springs LGBTQ+ Center. - Student Veteran Resource Center
Student Veteran Services helps military-affiliated students thrive on App State’s campuses and in the local community by connecting student veterans and military-affiliated students with services and resources to meet their needs, capabilities and contributions. These services and resources include the Major General Edward M. Reeder Jr. Student Veteran Resource Center, priority registration, scholarship opportunities, a Student Veterans Association and others. - Student Legal Clinic
The Student Legal Clinic provides students with free legal advice, information and referrals in a confidential setting. Services are provided by a licensed attorney. - Appalachian Spiritual Life Association
